چکیده
Abstract An inoculation technique to create ectomycorrhizal symbiosis in 1.5-year-old Norway spruce ( Picea abies (L.) Karst.) container seedlings was tested. The mycelia of fungi (EMF) – Tylospora asterophora , Piloderma olivaceum and Cenococcum geophilum each grown a silica dioxide powder carrier, mixed with conventional low-humified Sphagnum peat at the time sowing. Seedlings were four growth media: (1) peat; (2) sterile carrier; (3) carrier containing T. C. (4) P. . seedling development EMF colonization followed during nursery production. Further, media planted on former field, their observed for three years. At end production phase, there no differences height or stem diameter between growing media. degree by introduced low. inoculated + 16% higher first season after out-planting compared medium, but effect transient. experiment, had highest proportion healthy lowest dead seedlings. results emphasize importance quality success. tested ineffective creating substantial levels colonization.

Growth Response of Drought-Stressed Pinus sylvestris Seedlings to Single- and Multi-Species Inoculation with Ectomycorrhizal Fungi
Many trees species form symbiotic associations with ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi, which improve nutrient and water acquisition of their host. Until now it is unclear whether the species richness of ECM fungi is beneficial for tree seedling performance, be it during moist conditions or drought. We performed a pot experiment using Pinus sylvestris seedlings inoculated with four selected ECM fungi ...

KRAIGHER H. & HANKE D.E. 1996. Cytokinins in Norway spruce seedlings and forest soil pollution. Phyton (Horn, Ausrtia) 36 (3): (57) (60). Cytokinins can correlate with pollution damage in spruce trees and also with different strains and species of their mycorrhizal symbionts. In our study, Norway spruce seedlings were grown in vitro on sterilized or nonsterile soil substrates from two different...

Pinus densiflora seedlings were inoculated with three indigenous ectomycorrhizal fungi (Cenococcum geophilum, Rhizopogon roseolus and Russula densifolia) in single-, two-, and three-species treatments. After 8 months, the colonization rates of each ectomycorrhizal species, seedling growth and the nutrition were assessed in each treatment. P. densiflora seedlings inoculated with different ECM sp...
متن کاملInoculation and Successful Colonization of Whitebark Pine Seedlings With Native Mycorrhizal Fungi Under Greenhouse Conditions
Efforts to maintain and restore whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) forests in western North America have increased dramatically over the last two decades and now include the planting of nursery-grown rust resistant seedlings in openings and burned areas. Over 200,000 nursery seedlings have been planted in the western U.S. but survival rates are low and in many areas approach zero. One possibilit...
